About this site...

I can't get rich online and neither can you. Topics include why you won't get rich with your blog, ideas you wish you had thought of, and other Internet phenomena.

Don't kid yourself...

You want to get rich with your blog? Maybe you think Adsense will let you retire? Sorry, it's not going to happen.

If you were impressed with John Chow making tens of thousands of dollars each month with his blog alone, wait until you get a load of this guy. Paul Bourque, who runs a blog called UberAffiliate, is a 19 year old who makes more in one month than most of you make in a year. After ‘retiring’ from college, Paul went on to become an affiliate marketing god, making over $200k in revenue last month. Tell me you aren’t jealous.

I really like this blog for a couple of reasons. One, he gives useful advice for affiliate marketing newbies. Two, he’s only a couple of years younger than me, and that gives me hope. I find affiliate marketing pretty interesting, and after a month I’ve yet to turn a profit from it, so I’m a devoted reader of his blog. If you’re interested in affiliate marketing too, I’d recommend giving it a read.

If you’ve never heard of affiliate marketing before, I’d recommend reading this post and this post. They’re both pretty interesting and full of good advice. Don’t get your hopes up though. He makes it sound easy, but I can tell you from personal experience that it’s harder than it looks.

Wow that sounds very interesting, he’s only a few years younger than me so that really gives me hope! I’ll definitely have to check out his website because although I feel like I’ve gotten the hang of blogging (which is something that takes a lot of time), I haven’t really caught onto affiliate marketing–which is something I hoped to catch onto one day!

19 years old and earning $200k in a month? Woah. That’s some serious business going on here.
Well, this kind of news motivates me to keep on going with my blog ^^ (even though I know $200k is impossible for me).
